Invasive plants have caused problems of varying magnitude in the Philadelphia area. In this course, we will discuss the following: how invasives differ from non-invasives, negative impacts of invasives from the 18th century to the present day, some notorious invasives and their habitats, and management strategies for reducing or eliminating the negative impacts of invasives.
Students may examine relevant literature displayed in the PHS library before class from 5:30-6:15 PM.
