The Philadelphia Honey Festival aims to raise awareness about the importance of bees to our environment, the impact of local honey on our economy, and to promote urban beekeeping and gardening.

The Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild is proud to present the

2013 Philadelphia Honey Festival in conjunction with its partners:

Wagner Free Institute of Science - Friday, September 6

Wyck Histoic House and Garden - Saturday, September 7

Bartram's Garden - Sunday, September 8

Come celebrate with the Wagner on Friday, September 6!

All festival events are free.

 

10:00am – 12:00pm: Pollinator Power

A lesson for children ages 6-12 about pollination including hive demonstrations, honey extractions, scavenger hunts, games and craft-making in the lecture hall, yard, and museum. This program is geared towards home school children but all are welcome to attend.

5:00pm to 7:00pm: Honey Happy Hour

Join us for our annual Honey Happy Hour to kick off the festival!

Visitors ages 21 & over are invited to this event featuring honey based beer tastings, mead tastings, finger food, raffles, open hive demonstrations, bee bearding and more!

Suggested donation $5 - $10. Register for the Honey Happy Hour
