Enjoy a private tour of The Mary McFadden Archive at the at Woodmere Art Museum. Experience includes tour for 8 guests, refreshments, and lending library permissions for one.
Discover the world of the internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Mary McFadden, at the new home of her archive. McFadden was renowned for elegant eveningwear inspired by the art and architecture of ancient civilizations.
Curator Ananda Voecks will take your party behind the scenes into the Mary McFadden Archive. Explore her celebrated designs up close—from flowing Marii pleats to intricate embellishment and richly hand-painted textiles—and learn how ancient cultures and a lifetime of travel shaped her signature designs.
The winning bidder will also have the opportunity to borrow one dress for a special occasion—a chance to wear a piece of fashion history.
For a winning bid over $4,000, Woodmere’s Director and CEO, Bill Valerio, will personally lead the tour.

The experience is for up to eight people attending together, on a mutually agreed date and time, subject to Woodmere’s availability. Please allow at least four weeks’ notice when arranging the visit.
The tour and dress loans must take place within 12 months of the auction.

The included right to borrow one dress for a special occasion may be used by the winning bidder or transferred to any one member of the winning group.
Additional members of the group may pay to borrow a dress, with a maximum of three borrowers in total, including the complimentary loan.
All dress loans are subject to availability, fit, suitability for wear and the terms of Woodmere’s Lending Library. A particular dress or event date cannot be guaranteed.
A refundable security deposit may be required for each dress loan, including the complimentary loan. The amount, refund conditions and any additional charges will be disclosed and agreed before the loan is confirmed.
The prize is non-transferable and has no cash alternative.
